SYNOPSIS
A group of teenage girls who are also YouTubers, take center stage in this story about their relationship with technology and the unconventional ways in which they deal with their growing pains while seeking affection and human contact. This is a coming-of-age story set in a frenzied digitalized and contemporary society.
DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Tali grew up in the city of São Paulo, where she currently works as a documentary director and editor. She has spend some years living abroad while studying filmmaking. Her early short films have screened at festivals such as Visions du Réel, Sheffield, Tribeca, Zagrebdox among others. Her first commissioned short, “The Perfect Fit”, went on to screen at 35 international festivals, won the short film award at SXSW (2012) as well as being shortlisted films for an Oscar® nomination in 2013. “My Darling Supermarket” is her debut feature film, a Brazilian/Danish co-production which premiered in competition at IDFA 2019. The film had a long festival career and was virtually distributed to cinemas in the USA in 2021.
